John Robker Memorial Scholarship

$1,000 ONE HORSE ONE RIDER POINTS SCHOLARSHIP 2024  

 

RULES AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a current member of  Texas 4-H and in good standing.  

• Must compete in the Senior  Youth Division at the Johnson County 4-H Shows.  

• Points earned must be with one horse and one rider for all shows and classes (one back number).  

• Must win points in at least two disciplines.

• Points from all disciplines will be added.  (Western, Ranch, Speed, plus Showmanship – bonus points as usual)  

• Must attend a college, university or vocational school within 18 months of graduation from high school.  

• This is for Spring and again for Fall.

• In Spring must compete in 3 of the 4 shows.

• In Fall must compete in 2 of the 3 shows.

• The more shows you attend the more potential for more points.    

• Winner with the most points overall - $1,000  

• No need to apply, write an essay, or make a request.

• Points will be kept as usual and a winner will be declared.    

 

TO RECEIVE FUNDS:

• Must send proof of enrollment as a full time student at a college, university or vocational school to:

• Funds will be sent directly to the financial aid office for the school the recipient is attending.  

• No funds will be paid directly to the recipient.  

 

The Johnson County 4-H Horse Committee reserves the right to interpret these guidelines as they deem necessary to preserve the integrity of the scholarship program.
